About the role and team

As a Sr Specialist Account Executive, you'll help our largest and most complex restaurant partners, our Large Enterprise accounts, grow their business. You own the full sales cycle for your book of business – from pre-sales strategy through deal execution, optimization, and reporting – and you support your merchants holistically from end to end.

This isn't a transactional sales role; it's about building long-term, high-stakes partnerships in a fast-changing digital advertising landscape. You will navigate the complexity of Uber's largest enterprise accounts, turning raw data into clear growth strategies and then personally driving them through to results. You'll bring resilience and analytical grit to high-stakes partner renegotiations, stepping in as the Ads subject matter expert, serving as the voice of the customer, and connecting overarching business performance to a clear, tailored ads strategy. If you are energized by moving fast, managing senior stakeholders up to Director, VP, and C-suite level, owning your impact across the entire sales cycle, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to get things done, you will grow here. We are looking for someone who doesn't just follow the playbook but helps us write the next chapter of how Uber Ads scales its largest enterprise partnerships.

What you’ll do

  • Own the Full Sales Cycle: Operate end-to-end across pre-sales strategy, deal execution, and ongoing performance reporting. You're your merchants' single point of accountability from Ads pitch to results.
  • Build and Scale Complex Partnerships: Navigate the ambiguity of Uber's largest enterprise accounts to earn trust fast, becoming a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers up to Director, VP, and C-suite level.
  • Drive Product Adoption at Scale: Effectively communicate the value of Uber's advertising and promotional products across large, multi-stakeholder organizations, driving growth  through strategic marketing investments.
  • Navigate Internal Complexity: Partner closely with Delivery Partnerships, Product, Operations, and Legal teams to unblock high-stakes challenges, shape proposals, and serve as the Ads voice of the customer internally.
  • Segment, Prioritize, and Own Your Book of Business: Manage a portfolio of Enterprise accounts holistically, applying disciplined segmentation to identify where to invest time and resources, and balancing short-term tactical needs with long-term, proactive joint business plans to maximize growth and attainment across the full book.
  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Use advanced analytical skills to translate complex partner data into executive-ready, high-quality recommendations that drive growth objectives across an entire account.
  • Lead Through Ambiguity: Adapt quickly to evolving tools and market dynamics, staying resourceful and steady even when priorities shift or information is imperfect.
  • Mentor and Influence: Act as a subject-matter resource for other Ads Specialists, sharing best practices for navigating complex enterprise negotiations and account structures.

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-time experience in advertising sales, account management, consultative sales, or business development.
  • Proven experience managing and influencing relationships with senior decision-makers, up to Director, VP, and C-suite level.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a book of business end-to-end,  from prospecting and strategy through execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using data and insights to influence stakeholders and measure impact at scale.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline & reporting tools to track deal stages, forecast revenue, and prioritize account activity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with enterprise partnerships or global brands, ideally within the restaurant, QSR, or third-party marketplace space.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with partner teams to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to segment and prioritize a large, complex book of business knowing where to focus time and resources to maximize growth and consistently hit attainment targets.
  • A track record of proactively developing and executing growth strategies for a book of business, rather than reacting to inbound requests alone.
  • Strong systems thinking with a demonstrated ability to build and execute complex joint business plans in a high-growth environment.
  • A track record of using creative storytelling to secure stakeholder support for high-impact initiatives.
  • Resilient mindset with a proven ability to adapt quickly to shifting market dynamics and internal priorities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
