The Sr. Sourcing Specialist at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for strategically managing and optimizing the procurement of direct and indirect materials and services to support global manufacturing operations. This role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and driving cost reduction initiatives while ensuring continuity of supply and quality standards.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with Jabil's overall business objectives.
Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential new suppliers and assess current supplier capabilities.
Lead the entire Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including vendor selection and evaluation.
Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve significant cost savings and improve overall value.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and quality.
Identify and implement opportunities for supply chain optimization, including lead time reduction, inventory management, and logistics improvements.
Resolve complex supplier issues, including quality discrepancies, delivery delays, and contractual disputes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Jabil policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to management.
