Job Description

Sr. Project Manager (with Technical writing Expertise)

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating projects across software and internal system initiatives while also contributing to key technical documentation. This role combines project management, cross-functional communication, and technical writing expertise to ensure that all projects are delivered effectively and that supporting documentation (such as SRS, SDS, and user guides) is accurate, clear, and follows quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional core teams, conduct regular project meetings, lead phase gate exits, and build presentations for leadership at critical phase gates.
  • Guide the development, verification, validation, and release of software applications, aligning them with user needs, regulatory, and quality guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Continuously define and optimize software project management and development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between business, technical, and operational teams.
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documents such as scripting test protocols, Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), and Software Design Specifications (SDS)
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to gather technical inputs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a software or technical environment.
  • Proven experience producing and maintaining technical documentation (SRS, SDS, or equivalent).
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile frameworks, and documentation protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with project management and documentation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint).
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments (e.g., medical device, biotech, or manufacturing) is a plus.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Indiana is $93,800.00–$140,675.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
