Caterpillar Inc. seeks Sr. Software Engineer at its facility located at 540 W Madison St. Chicago, IL 60661.
Responsible for developing, creating, and executing performance tests for tier application. Application hosted on AWS as well as own data centers. This process starts with Requirement gathering to complete sign-off on a particular product or Mobile applications. Develop performance testing plan based on business and technical requirements. Involved in conducting verification, benchmark test, stress tests, failover and volume tests against the application using Neo load. Mentor offshore on result analysis, performance defects and root cause analysis. AQ/AMQ/Kafka a backlog data analysis. Update release status in performance testing perspective. Live performance analysis of applications using Oracle Enterprise Manager. Responsible for collecting the frequency of JVM Heap and Garbage Collection in Web logic during test. Analyze database for further tuning. Monitor system performance, analyzing performance bottlenecks, and recommending solutions. Responsible for live performance monitoring using App dynamics Synthetics. Responsible for end-to-end application performance testing using LoadRunner and JMeter/Azure Pipeline solution and J-Meter- CloudWatch Integration. Responsible for application availability monitoring with AppDynamics Synthetics and Silk from various locations across the globe. Lastly, mentors the teamwork for onshore/offshore. Telecommuting: 100% Telecommuting permitted.
REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Performance, Information Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Performance Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) JMeter, NeoLoad, and LoadRunner; (2) Core Java Development / Database development (PLSQL); (3) Queues and Brokers (MQ, Kafka, Kinesis); and (4) App Dynamics, Grafana, Thousand Eyes, and Java Diagnostics.
Summary Pay Range:
$116,085.00 - $179,640.00
