Sr Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of Engineering South Korea team as part of HERE Map and Service organization, and you will operate some location services in South Korea.The position will be based in Seoul,South Korea and will report to the Engineering Manager of Map and Service Engineering South Korea team.

Your main respsonsibilities include:

• Creating or adapting existing tests that check routing or other functional behavior with various real-world restrictions, speed limits and other map attributes. Therefore, hands on familiarity with navigation and map software would be a big positive. Further more, one of our automated test tools is Robot framework. Therefore, familiarity with python would be very useful.
• C++ & QT would also help a bit because some of the development debugging tools are written in C++ & QT. Familiarity with these could help to improve these tools themselves.
• Work will be done in a team with other engineers, designers and usability experts and in close collaboration with engineers from other teams.

You will have success on this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in software development
• Proficiency n the Python/Java/Scala programming language
• 3+ years of experience in Testing along with practical experience with test automation frameworks like the "Robot Framework"
• Experience working with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or CI workflows in Gitlab or GitHub. 
• Knowledge of JIRA and test management systems
• Strong communication skills in Korean and English
• Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS etc is nice to have
• Exposure to AWS or other Cloud Ecosystems.
