About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for a senior-to-principal (Level 7) backend software engineer with a strong grasp of event-based, distributed services architectures to join our growing Fusion and Foundry teams within our flagship product, the Falcon Platform. We're looking for smart people who want to be challenged and take ownership of what they build. Work in an environment where quality is the company culture. What You'll Do:

• Help design, build, and maintain key backend services / orchestration layer of platform that will be used by both other product groups and our customers.
• Design and build highly scalable and resilient distributed systems
• Work with industry-leading technologies like Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis and more
• Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement solutions

What You'll Need:

• Experienced building streaming platforms at scale (Note: We process over a trillion events per day)
• 7+ years overall of applicable backend software development experience.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience building microservice-oriented software systems with a SaaS delivery model
• Expert knowledge of any of the following backend languages: Go, Scala, Java, Node.js or C# (.NET Core).
• Proven expertise in building distributed systems, micro services, REST APIs
• Production experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Developing applications using SQL and No-SQL databases

Bonus Points:

• Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
• Master's degree in computer science or related field
• Golang experience
• Prior experience with cybersecurity

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $130,000 - $205,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
