About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about transforming vast data landscapes into compelling business insights. In our team, we work together to unravel and tackle unique business challenges using an impressive data scale that is rarely encountered. This role offers the chance to engage with a data warehouse of multi-petabyte scale, enhancing your expertise and delivering a significant contribution to the company's success. You'll be instrumental in maintaining data pipelines and collaborating across the company, all while using a diverse set of technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain key analytic tools and provide data driven insights to our stakeholders.

• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.

• Able to successfully lead large, complex systems design and implementation challenges independently.

• Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure  security, compliance, data quality, and operations for allocated areas of ownership

About You

About You

You possess a keen interest in grasping the complex challenges that businesses face, and you are enthused by the prospect of devising data-driven solutions. Your inherent curiosity propels you to delve into data and decipher its core significance. Acquiring new tools and methods comes naturally to you. Becoming a part of our team is more than just accepting a job; it's embarking on a riveting adventure of discovering novel approaches to data exploration.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud-based solutions

• 5+ years of proven expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

• 5 + years of experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)

• Strong experience in sql, data modeling, performance tuning, and leveraging structured data (e.g parquet)

• Familiarity with typescript

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Other Qualifications: 

• Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)

• Experience with dbt.

• Experience with open table formats like delta lake, iceberg.

• Experience working on Linux Systems and command-line tools.

• At ease within the open-source environment.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $172,800 USD - $259,200 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $145,900 USD - $259,200 USD
