Seneca Holdings is seeking a skilled and versatile SharePoint Administrator / Developer to manage and enhance our Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online environment. This role combines system administration with configuration and maintenance of the SharePoint platform, including the company Intranet and Document Management System. Additionally, the role will leverage PowerApps and the Microsoft Power Platform to automate tasks, create workflows, and maintain custom developed M365 solutions, ensuring alignment with Seneca's IT innovation goals. 

The ideal candidate should be a technical expert who has experience in managing the SharePoint platform in the areas of administration, configuration, upgrades, design, workflow, automation, continuous improvement, and performance optimization. The role will work closely with the departments/programs across the entire company to build out and maintain content specific information in the company’s SharePoint environment and create a positive, secure experience for end-users. 

Summary of Location and Hours:

  • Hybrid or Remote Position – on site in Chantilly, VA or fully remote
  • Monday – Friday approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. Most services are provided during normal business hours. That said, Seneca Holdings and its subsidiaries support employees and locations worldwide, in many time zones. Planned and unplanned work schedules to include nights and weekends may be necessary. Requirements for on-call support coverage and working hours are also possible.

Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Online site collections, lists, libraries, and permissions.
  • Monitor platform health, usage, and compliance using Microsoft 365 admin center, Security & Compliance Center, and audit logs.
  • Manage service integrations such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Collaborate with end users, stakeholders, and team members to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, scalable solutions.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Create and maintain custom forms, automated workflows, and interactive dashboards using PowerApps and Power Automate to support business processes.
  • Document solution architecture, configurations, and user guides for ongoing support and training.
  • Provide end-user training and support escalation processes to enhance adoption and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., NIST 800-171 for sensitive data like FCI/CUI).
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience administering SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365.
  • 3+ years of experience with the Power Platform (specifically PowerApps & Power Automate).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API and basic scripting (e.g., JSON, PowerShell, or JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 services including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Azure AD.
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale SharePoint deployments and optimizing performance for global operations.

Desired qualifications: 

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Application Developer Associate (MS-600)
  • Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer (e.g., MS-301 or equivalent)
  • Experience with Power BI for dashboard analytics and reporting
