Sr. SAP S4 HANA Logistics consultant (LE) SME Consultant- Hybrid
Role Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP S4 HANA Logistics consultant who is a LE Subject Matter Expert with some SD & MM experience who is based in the USA, preferably located near Chicago, IL area or Danville, IL and/or Waukesha, WI to travel on site the later two locations throughout the project, whenever needed.

You will be supporting the client strategy, to contribute to the project success and work with the SAP project team. There will be two SAP functional senior consultants performing as local focal points with broader SAP experience on Finance and logistics to support the project locally from early June to be there for the SIT start (early of July) until the first monthly closing after the go live, for approximately in February for approximately 9 months.
Main Activities: Support SIT and UAT testing, Support Cutover and Hypercare besides the SAP Module implementation itself if needed (Functional Specifications, Adapt code, configurations, unit testing, documentation as required and so on)

Required Skills & Experience
  • SAP LE Expertise

  • Minimum 8-12+ years in SAP Logistics focused (LE with some SD & MM) consulting in manufacturing sector

  • Strong functional expertise in logistics LE focused with also the usual logistics modules (SD, MM & EWM).

  • Hands-on configuration experience is essential.

  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes is required.

Responsibilities
  • Design and configure solutions in one or more S/4HANA Logistics modules.
  • Lead workshops to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in live systems.
Skills
Strong functional expertise in Logistics focused (LE with some SD & MM) consulting in manufacturing sector Working knowledge of cross‑functional integrationHands-on configuration experience
in SAP S/4HANA.

Previous experience supporting implementations

Soft Skills
    • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation abilities.

    • Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance

    • Prepare functional specifications and work with ABAP teams for enhancements, user exits, and custom reports.

    • Lead unit, integration, and UAT testing for Logistics(SD, MM & LE) plus various components.

    • Ensure compliance with logistics "Best Practices" on global project.

  • Support & Continuous Improvement

    • Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Certified Application Associate – Strong background in Logistics and Supply Chain with SAP S/4HANA.

  • Previous experience in large-scale Automotive, steel or manufacturing sector services SAP
