Job Description SummaryThe Circuit Breaker technical expert is globally accountable for technical support and advice to R&D Engineers and leaders in circuit breaker technical field. He ensures technical support on request to support designers to achieve their own targets. He drives the technology watch in the CBR domain.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Providing on request technical support and guidance to CBR teams ( Sales, Product Management, R&D) during the NPI development and design process :

    • drawings
    • BOMs
    • test instructions
    • production instructions
    • product quality
    • competitive cost
    • on time delivery
    • compliance with Circuit breaker technical instruction
    • support the successful completion of all applicable GRs in line with the NPI process.
  • On request, act as a trainer /coach / mentor for new members of the sales team
  • Represent the business externally at conferences or in professional working bodies (IEEE, CIGRE, NEMA etc)
  • Provide ad-hoc technical guidance to the Engineering/Technology leadership team as required, e.g., joining customer negotiations, supplier audits
  • Exercise strategic thinking and act as senior technical expert to executive management by providing input into the technology strategy.
  • Supporting CBR quality initiatives.
  • Using experience/knowledge to help CBR Sales Teams with understanding customer specifications, providing solutions to complex technical problems and requirements at tendering stage as well as with resolving non-conformance issues and successfully leading associated investigations.
  • Disseminating lessons learned across CBR
  • Participating in cross-functional business and cultural development.
  • Protecting company’s Intellectual Property and Image.
  • Handling some major big accounts ( Oncor, BHE, Xcel, etc)
  • Proliferation of products from other factories majorly AHT for Live Tanks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent
  • At least 25 additional years of experience in a High Voltage Circuit breakers products

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions
  • Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Considered an expert in a specific engineering discipline

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $128,400.00 and $213,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
