We are looking for a Sr. Sales Development Representative to join our Growth team and help scale our outbound engine! You’ll be responsible for leveraging our ever-evolving playbook to book qualified meetings (demos) with companies that fit our customer profile.

You will be the third SDR on the team, and if you are hard-working, scrappy, hungry to learn, competitive, and want your performance to have a direct impact on your career progression (and take-home pay), this is the role for you.

Application requirements

To be considered for this role, you must apply through Lever, and include a 2 minute video* of you selling a piece of technology (anything technology related): https://jobs.lever.co/useparagon.com/38c743ad-5b18-405f-89f1-456677eb344c

*You can use Loom.com to film the video, and include the link under 'Why do you think you're a good fit for this role' in the screening questions.

A bit about the team

The growth team is the driving force behind the company's revenue growth. We are accountable for generating pipeline from companies that can turn into real customers.

In practice, this means everyone on the team is accountable to each other, we put in every ounce of effort possible to drive pipeline, constantly share and test new ideas, challenge existing approaches, and rely on data to drive decisions.

A day in the life:

1. Show up on time every morning, with an organized plan for who you’re prospecting/following up with that day

2. Respond to any replies, messages, and leads that have come in overnight to get demos booked

3. Conduct research on and reach out to target accounts and prospects constantly (when you're stuck, move to the next account)

4. Review the performance/metrics of your work to identify areas of improvement

5. Share creative ideas with the team on how to drive better outcomes

6. Spend the time to understand the product 1% better. Every. Single. Day.

7. Reach out for feedback and help whenever you need it

8. Celebrate the wins as a team every day, big or small

This role will be challenging and will test your grit, but if you’re up for it, you will learn faster than in other similar roles.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
