Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members
• Make technology choices at individual level and analyse impact
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process
• Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
• Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
• Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
  • Able to legally work in Mexico. This position can work remotely within Mexico.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Automation Framework Development: Hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g., Katalon, Selenium, Playwright - is a plus).
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript.
  • API Testing: Strong understanding and experience with API testing tools like Postman, Katalon.
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Version Control: Good understanding of Git/GitHub or equivalent systems.

Testing Knowledge:

  • Strong foundation in software testing principles (functional, regression, smoke, sanity).
  • Experience in writing detailed test cases and test plans.
  • Familiarity with BDD (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin) is a plus.

Tools & Platforms:

  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., QTest).
  • Familiarity with cross-browser testing tools (e.g., Chrome, firefox and MS Edge) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
