This Senior QA Analyst will ensure quality for a next-gen game by collaborating with the Core Engine team, automating testing, and providing comprehensive QA support across platforms.
Summary
We are looking for a short-term Senior QA Analyst to support quality efforts on our next-generation, open-world game. In this role, you will be embedded within a development pod, supporting our Core Engine team to ensure that we deliver the best player experience possible.
Core Responsibilities
- Champion best-in-class quality and the player experience as an embedded tester within your assigned development pod.
- Collaborate with our Engineering team to identify and ideate opportunities for automation of repetitive testing procedures.
- Help to develop data reporting that offers a clear and actionable snapshot of stability and performance.
- Validating developed tools and automation.
- Organize and execute all testing efforts on PC and console within your area of focus.
- Conduct upstream testing within Unreal 5, where needed.
- Build strong working relationships with development partners to ensure clear communication of QA processes and priorities.
- Partner with other QA team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide progress and status updates through clear written and verbal communication.
Core Qualifications
- 4+ years of game QA experience as a Senior QA Analyst or equivalent role.
- At least 1 shipped AAA title in a role directly supporting a Core Engine team.
- Experience working within Unreal Engine (preferably UE5).
- Experience with Unreal Insights or similar profiling tools.
- Proven ability to create and maintain test plans using tools such as TestRail, QMetry, or Zephyr.
- Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience providing QA support across multiple platforms.
- Ability to drive QA initiatives from end to end.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, well-optimized player experiences.

- Experience with open world game development.
- Experience working with scripting languages and automation tools.
- Experience working with tools such as Grafana and InfluxDB for managing collected data.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Ability to drive QA initiatives from end to end.
- Experience mentoring junior QA team members.
- This is a short-term, 3-month engagement with the opportunity to extend.
- Role is on-site in Santa Monica, CA.
- Office is located near downtown Santa Monica – near metro and freeways.
The pay range for this position is $30-$45 per hour. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
