Are you an expert in software project management looking to shift the way the world works? Are you driven to build and spearhead teams that deliver leading-edge software solutions? Do you enjoy building trusted relationships with clients and being an integral part of delivering strategic, impactful projects? Blytheco, the leader in business transformation, is looking for a professional like you to help lead and guide our clients through their digital transformation journey.

The Role:

As a Sr. Software Implementation Project Manager, you’ll manage the delivery of advanced ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions. You’ll work directly with clients and our professional services team to deploy applications in either a SaaS (Software as a Service) or PCS (Private Cloud Service) environment leveraging AWS (Amazon Web Services). You’ll move quickly in a fast-paced and fluid environment to drive implementations based on a project roadmap, establish project milestones, and implementmetrics to track progress, while bringing people together to make a tangible difference.

It’s all about managing resources, multiple projects simultaneously, and setting realistic expectations, while being transparent with our clients, and delivering on our promises.

Role Responsibilities:

You are a skilled facilitator who fosters teamwork and can help the team through difficult team dynamics. You put the team first and know when to enforce the process and when to relax it for better adoption.

You are very detailed oriented to ensure that assets like project plans are up to date and accurate.  The detail orientation allows you to spot errors in project time entries and if the project scope is changing.
Your superpower is influencing. You understand how to foster emotional safety and trust within the team and pave the path for the team to function as one.

You work closely with internal and client team members to maintain alignment on the project objectives, execute the implementation roadmap, and establish team priorities.

You are responsible for protecting the team from scope increase mid-sprint. You communicate and resolve blockers with the team.

You proactively keep an eye out for risks and issues and lead the team in developing mitigation plans while managing and executing the resolution strategies.  You escalate to the executive sponsor or client success leader in a timely manner to seek support and guidance when needed.

You provide high-touch and hands-on team guidance, support, and coaching in close cooperation and collaboration across all roles and functions to facilitate increasing maturity at a sustainable pace.

You help the team prepare for the upcoming sprints and facilitate scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, review and demo, retrospectives, and daily activities related to team support.
You maintain relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during and at the end of a sprint. You help the team identify root causes of blockers and resolve them at the next opportunity.
You are fiscally responsible and ensure the team is completing work within the contractually agreed scope of work and budget.  You adhere to processes to obtain written approval for scope and budget changes before work is performed.

You look for opportunities to add value to your projects to achieve successful project outcomes while also achieving budget chargeability milestones.

You are highly tuned to the details yet know when to step back to view the overall objective.

Role Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience managing ERP implementation projects in a client-facing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a professional services or consulting environment with defined billable utilization targets.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience with Agile principles and Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of, and competency in, project management processes including planning, scope management, budget management, risk management, monitoring and reporting, and record keeping
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience with risk management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Outstanding organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed with strong ability to prioritize, and get stuff done
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with clients and build trust with co-workers and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Ability to travel, as needed

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in Agile Coaching
  • PMP Certification
  • Scrum Master Certification

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
