Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Developer with exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of SQL to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with COBOL and experience working with Python. The role will also involve preparing detailed reports, so experience in report writing is essential. You will be responsible for working on a variety of projects, analyzing data, creating optimized SQL queries, and providing technical solutions to support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications and systems using COBOL, Python, and other programming languages as needed.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights based on findings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop reports that align with business needs.
- Design, implement, and test new features and improvements to existing systems.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, presenting data in a clear and actionable format.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SQL, COBOL, Python and Pyspark.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in development, SQL, and report writing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated
- 4+ years of experience in Databricks, Data stage or Oracle SQL Experience
- Experience implementing ETL pipeline using pyspark, Python
- Proficiency in SQL with extensive experience in writing complex queries.
- Familiarity with COBOL and its applications in legacy systems.
- Strong experience in report writing and presenting data insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to work with large datasets and provide performance optimization solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5yrs software/IT technical experience
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern software development practices is a plus.

Pay Range: $ $80,849 - $ $131,747 annually
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
