  • Determine and articulate Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to deliver maximum value with optimal investment.
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners and stakeholders to manage interdependencies and ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Demonstrate passion as both an advocate and hands-on contributor who drives a vision to completion by executing when needed, advising where appropriate, and maintaining constant awareness of implementation progress.
  • Construct and communicate release plan to stakeholders.
  • Proactively gather and analyze feedback from customers and stakeholders to assess the quality, accuracy, and impact of delivered product features, ensuring continuous alignment with user needs and business goals.

AI & Digital Enablement:

  • Lead the responsible integration of AI-powered tools to enhance decision-making, automate processes, and improve user experience.
  • Champion digital fluency by coaching staff and advisors on effective use of collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom AI, Copilot, SharePoint).
  • Partner with enterprise technology teams to align on digital strategies, monitor tool effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to inspire execution, drive innovation, and solve complex problems with creativity and clarity.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and influence skills across technical and business domains.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, including the creation of impactful visual aids (e.g., PowerPoint, Visio, Prezi, Zoom Whiteboards) to guide discussions and foster shared understanding.
  • Comfortable navigating and encouraging change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, experimentation, and informed risk-taking.
  • Proven ability in the area of creative facilitation and encouragement of innovation.
  • Skilled in public speaking and stakeholder engagement across all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to make or facilitate effective decisions as they relate to an Agile team’s product delivery.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, learning new skills, and contributing to process enhancements. Experience with AI tools and platforms, with a strong understanding of their practical applications in business operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with emerging technologies, including AI and digital transformation trends

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in life insurance with deep expertise in digital product development and user-centric design.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
