We are living through a pivotal moment for reproductive and sexual health—and Hey Jane is uniquely positioned to help.

From day one, we've been committed to providing safe, discreet medication abortion treatment—and have helped more than 85,000 people get the care they need. Today, we offer a range of reproductive and sexual health care services from the comfort and convenience of your phone.  Our in-house clinical care team, composed of board certified doctors, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and patient care advocates, is just a text message away. We’re committed to helping our patients get safe, discreet, judgment-free virtual health care, from a team that truly cares.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager who is equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on executor, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and feels deeply passionate about the role technology can play in expanding access to essential reproductive health care.

As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for setting the product vision and roadmap—then rolling up your sleeves to make it happen. You will lead the development and launch of features and tools that drive clinical efficiency, scalability, and an exceptional patient experience. Partnering closely with engineering, operations, clinical, and marketing teams, you will manage the full product lifecycle—from discovery to release and ongoing optimization—ensuring every initiative aligns with our mission and business goals. You’ll leverage data, user insights, and your own product intuition to make decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve our platform.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of building and scaling user-centered digital products, an aptitude for data-driven decision-making, exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, and a relentless drive for improvement.

Why this role matters
This isn’t your average product role: the tools you build will directly shape patient’s access to safe, timely, and compassionate care. In a pivotal moment for reproductive rights, your work will have a tangible impact on people’s lives and the future of digital healthcare access in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation, requirements gathering, and design to launch, measurement, and iteration
  • Define, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap in alignment with company goals and mission
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, operations, and clinical teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements
  • Develop and oversee testing and launch plans to ensure products meet quality standards and deliver intended outcomes
  • Use data and user insights to inform decisions, validate solutions, and measure outcomes
  • Advocate for patients and providers by deeply understanding their needs and pain points
  • Ensure product initiatives meet compliance, safety, and quality standards in a healthcare environment
  • Mentor and support other product team members, contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation

Qualificiations

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthtech, consulting, or startups
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects on time and within scope
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to align stakeholders and engineers on the big picture while also diving into the details to ensure clarity, accuracy, and shared understanding
  • Passion for Hey Jane’s mission and a commitment to expanding access to essential healthcare

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
