Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Define and execute the safety and integrity strategy for X, aligning with company objectives and user expectations.
- Product Innovation: Lead the development of new features aimed at reducing harassment, spam, misinformation, and other integrity threats. This includes working on AI-driven detection systems, user reporting tools, and safety educational content.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with various teams to integrate safety features into the product lifecycle from conception to deployment. Facilitate alignment between product, engineering, design, legal, and policy to ensure cohesive safety measures.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use data to guide product decisions, monitor effectiveness of safety features, and iterate based on performance metrics. Regularly report on safety metrics to senior management.
- Policy Implementation: Work with policy teams to translate new or updated safety policies into actionable product features.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and mitigate real-time threats to user safety or platform integrity, including rapid response to emerging issues like viral misinformation or coordinated attacks.
- User Advocacy: Champion the user's perspective in safety and integrity discussions, ensuring user feedback influences product enhancements.
- Compliance: Ensure that all product changes meet legal and regulatory requirements across different geographies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Law, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in product management, with significant experience in areas related to user safety, privacy, or content moderation.
- Demonstrated success in launching products that have improved user safety or platform integrity in a tech environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and A/B testing.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to navigate cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think strategically about long-term product vision while managing day-to-day activities.
