In this role, we’re looking for a strategic leader who will define and drive Zapier’s product-led organic discovery and growth strategy. This role owns the long-term vision and roadmap for how Zapier is discovered across search engines, GPTs, and the social channels that influence those, and how that discovery translates into PLG signups through seamless, product-driven experiences.
A background in product management is beneficial for this role, but it's not a requirement. We believe with the right tools and support, if you're experienced and obsessed with user acquisition and growth strategy, you'll lead this team to its next growth curve.

You’re a strategic product leader. You can set the long-term vision for Zapier’s organic growth, define category-level priorities, and make tradeoffs across multiple growth surfaces. You see the big picture and know how to rally a team toward it.
You bring 5+ years of experience in growth experience, ideally in SaaS with a strong emphasis on user acquisition.
You’re skilled at setting a roadmap and executing against it. You know how to translate strategy into a sequenced plan and you work with engineering and design to deliver on it.
You understand SEO & GEO as platforms, not just channels. You have a deep understanding of traditional SEO mechanics and a strong curiosity for emerging generative search (GEO). You know how to position Zapier to be the authoritative answer in both worlds.
You’ve scaled acquisition programs before. You can point to examples of durable growth loops and strategic investments you’ve driven that compounded over time.
You’re both analytical and intuitive. You rely on data to shape decisions, but you also bring product sense and user empathy to identify opportunities others might miss.
You’re a cross-functional leader. You have experience working with engineers, designers, content creators, and business partners to deliver scalable solutions. You create clarity in ambiguous spaces and build alignment around shared goals.
You’re a strong communicator. You can use written communication to articulate strategy, roadmaps, and results across a distributed team. You know how to connect daily work to the bigger narrative of Zapier’s growth.
You care deeply about customer impact. You don’t just chase traffic—you want to connect users with the right solution at the right moment, and help them become successful Zapier customers.
Develop our product-driven acquisition strategy. Help make sure we’re solving the most important problems for our prospective users.
Define the multi-quarter roadmap for Zapier’s organic discovery and growth, balancing experimentation with durable long-term bets.
Build scalable, templated product-led pages and flows that convert high-intent discovery traffic into signups.
Shape Zapier’s GEO strategy to ensure Zapier is the authoritative automation brand surfaced in generative AI search and assistants.
Run experiments that not only drive signups, but have a meaningful impact on product usage and revenue.
Expand Zapier’s offsite discovery footprint where prospects are making automation decisions.
Work closely with designers, engineers, and content creators to ensure we’re delivering a high-quality customer experience.
Align the team and stakeholders of the team around a common goal. You create a collaborative environment where the best ideas are pursued regardless of who comes up with them.
Regularly report on the results of the team; be a truth seeker in order to establish a culture of learning and forward progress.
Connect with customers and prospects on a weekly basis so you can develop a strong empathy for what problems we need to solve for them.
At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.
Education is not a requirement for our roles; however, if you receive an offer, you will need to include your most recent educational experience as part of our background check process.
After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!
