Homebased anywhere in the U.S.

At Elsevier, we’re transforming how healthcare and internal business decisions are made through data-driven insights. Our Clinical Solutions portfolio empowers clinicians and health leaders to act with clarity and confidence. Join us to shape the future of healthcare analytics.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to play a critical role in shaping and executing the analytics strategy across our Clinical Solutions portfolio. This role is central to how we use data to empower clinicians, pharmacists, and healthcare leaders with actionable insights. You will lead development of both customer-facing and internal analytics capabilities that drive clinical, product, and operational impact. Working across a matrixed organization, you’ll translate strategic priorities into a focused analytics product roadmap and deliver high-value analytics solutions insights that improve decision-making and unlock customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Analytics Product Roadmap: Own the vision, prioritization, and delivery of analytics capabilities—including dashboards, KPIs, and embedded insights—across multiple Clinical Solutions products.

  • Drive Customer-Centric Insight Generation: Deeply understand user needs in clinical and operational settings to develop analytics products that solve real-world challenges for health systems.

  • Translate Strategy into Execution: Convert strategic goals into actionable plans for analytics delivery, collaborating closely with Technology, Informatics, and Analytics teams.

  • Leverage Generative AI Thoughtfully: Identify opportunities to apply generative AI to accelerate insight delivery, improve data exploration, and enhance the usability of analytics tools for healthcare professionals.

  • Deliver Measurable Value: Define and track product OKRs and KPIs; ensure analytics initiatives drive measurable business and customer outcomes.

  • Ensure Data Quality & Integrity: Partner on data integration, modeling, and governance efforts to ensure analytics are built on high-quality, reliable data.

  • Support Commercialization & Adoption: Collaborate with commercial, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to bring analytics products to market, enable adoption, and communicate impact.

  • Serve as the Voice of Analytics: Represent analytics product priorities internally and externally, aligning stakeholders and contributing to strategic planning across the portfolio.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our analytics capabilities remain innovative, compliant, and competitive.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience in product management, analytics, informatics, or healthcare technology.

  • Proven success delivering data or analytics products, ideally in clinical or health system contexts.

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, SNOMED, LOINC) and analytics tools/platforms.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience applying AI/ML or GAI in a product or analytics context is a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in informatics, public health, or data science preferred. Clinical background a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
