OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform is a new, forward-looking initiative within Tubi Media Group that brings FOX’s unparalleled content portfolio including news, sports, and entertainment directly to consumers through an innovative subscription streaming service.

Led by a highly experienced team with deep backgrounds across media, technology, streaming, and content, and fully supported by Fox Corporation, this venture blends entrepreneurial spirit with strong media expertise.

Our vision is to create a unified, modern viewing experience that prioritizes the consumer and integrates live and on-demand content across multiple platforms.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of streaming during a transformative time in media. We are building a world-class team to bring that vision to life, and we're just getting started.

As the Sr. Product Manager, Experience (News), you will reinvent what streaming news can look like for the next generation of viewers. FOX News already commands a massive, loyal fanbase—but your role is to build the digital-first experience that captures new audiences who didn’t grow up with cable and don’t engage with news in traditional formats.

This means building a product that is fast, visual, interactive, and smart. You will shape how news stories are surfaced, watched, followed, and re-engaged with throughout the day. You’ll think beyond the broadcast: what does a breaking story look like on mobile? How do users follow a live news moment like they follow a live game or a social trend? What would a personalized news experience look like if it was driven by AI and built around short-form content, swipeable narratives, and voice-powered navigation?

You’ll work with editorial, engineering, design, and machine learning teams to bring bold new ideas to life—and deliver them with the speed, clarity, and trust FOX is known for.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the end-to-end product vision for the FOX One news experience across mobile, web, and CTV

  • Design modern, flexible layouts that showcase breaking stories, live coverage, short-form video, and topic-based content

  • Develop personalized news feeds using AI, LLMs, and behavioral data to adapt content to viewer interests and intent

  • Create new ways for users to follow topics, engage with evolving stories, and receive meaningful notifications throughout the day

  • Ingest real-time data signals such as location, engagement patterns, and content trends to prioritize what users see

  • Champion interactivity—exploring features like reactions, quick polls, follow-ups, personalized timelines, and voice input

  • Partner with editorial and newsroom teams to translate FOX’s reporting into formats that appeal to digital-first audiences

  • Define and track performance metrics such as session time, engagement with live moments, return visits, swipe rate, and follow-on story interactions

  • Test and iterate rapidly to bring new formats to life, including vertical video, story clusters, or scroll-native layouts

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 6 to 8 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in consumer media, news, or video platforms

  • Deep understanding of how younger, mobile-first audiences consume information and news

  • Experience designing content discovery systems using AI, personalization, or editorial intelligence

  • Strong instincts for content hierarchy, urgency, and re-engagement within fast-moving news environments

  • Ability to work across product, editorial, data science, and engineering to ship smart, scalable experiences

  • Proven track record of launching new surfaces, content formats, or interactive features

  • A passion for news, storytelling, and making information accessible, visual, and relevant to everyday life

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience working on short-form or social video content within news or media

  • Familiarity with generative AI or summarization technologies in the context of breaking news

  • Background in real-time alert systems, interactive news UX, or mobile-first publishing

  • Prior work developing content formats or feed structures for non-linear media platforms

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-165,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
