The Opportunity: Syncro is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us ensure that our product is designed with the users at the center.  Crafting a product that fits into the busy daily workflows of IT professionals and helps make them more efficient and effective.  You’ll join a small design team (3 people) working collaboratively with product managers and engineering to build a product that is delivered primarily via web with some mobile capability. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for your projects by producing artifacts including journey maps, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. 
  • Working closely with engineering and product to understand goals,constraints, and collaborate on solutions
  • Performing lightweight user research along with product managers, to deeply understand user behaviors, motivations, and product use. 
  • Uncovering opportunities to decrease friction for our users to help them engage in the product more deeply.
  • Collaborating and iterating on design processes and the design system with the team 
  • Working with product, engineering, as well as internal stakeholders to collect input and optimize design solutions. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • A compelling portfolio of design work that demonstrates a solid understanding of system thinking, interaction design, user flows, and visual design. 
  • An appreciation for simplification as an important facet of design
  • Ability and desire to explore the complexities of the existing platform to understand the impacts of new design decisions on the whole. 
  • A desire to learn from customers and conduct small and quick research projects.
  • Experience working with a reusable design system
  • Advanced expertise in Figma required
  • A sense of curiosity and continuous learning mindset

  1. Initial Interview (20-30m): A brief overview of your experience with HR
  2. Hiring Manager Interview (30m)More in depth overview of your experience with HM
  3. Design Interview & Portfolio Review (30m): Discuss your approach to design with design team members. Present and discuss one project from your portfolio
  4. Design Exercise (60m): with design, product and engineering. Demonstrate your design process by leading a collaborative whiteboarding exercise
