Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Subcontract Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

  • Location: Remote

  • Schedule: 9/80 work schedule – with every other Friday OFF

  • Team: Global Supply Chain (GSC)

Sr. Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist will be expected to:

  • Develop well written Strategic Agreements (NDAs, MOAs, MOUs, and License Agreements) by engaging with GSC Program Managers via earlier involvement for proposal/capture support and R&AD efforts

  • Assist in the execution of Proposal/Teaming Agreements in support of strategic capture initiatives partnering with appropriate Northrop Grumman potential suppliers

  • Create Long Term Pricing Agreements (LTAs) in support of Category Management initiatives

  • Generate/Maintain Strategic Agreement templates to support GSC community

  • Develop associated workforce guidance for each Strategic Agreement template

  • Conduct training and provide assistance on the different types of Strategic Agreements

  • Interface with Procurement and Subcontract personnel to foster strong negotiation strategies and provide targeted support for critical/complex negotiations

  • Provide updated training on Negotiation protocol and tactics to equip Buyers/Subcontract Managers with knowledge and tools to be successful in Supplier negotiations

  • Provide input to Northrop Grumman Compliance Group on associated Work Instructions and processes

  • Establish and maintain Strategic Agreements and Supplier Negotiations Lessons Learned Repository

  • Work independently while efficiently completing assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of progressive experience in subcontracts, procurement, contracts, legal, or a related discipline OR a master's degree with 8 years of progressive experience in subcontracts, procurement, contracts, legal, or a related discipline. 14 years of progressive supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Procurement/Subcontract negotiation experience supporting U.S. Government Prime contracts

  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements

  • Experience negotiating and drafting various types of agreements such as contracts/subcontracts, teaming agreements, MOUs, MOAs, etc.

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and preparing executive level presentations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, or Business Administration (MBA) with extensive experience negotiating with Suppliers and outside agencies in DOD environment

  • Experience developing Pre-Negotiation positions and negotiating complex Subcontracts

  • Skilled at generating all types of Strategic Agreements and negotiating Terms and Conditions with FAR/DFAR flow downs

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Experience leading a team project or process.

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and preparing executive level presentations

  • Strong attention to detail.

Salary Range: $99,900.00 - $149,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
