The team marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.
Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:
Building the future of Disney’s media: Our Technologists are designing and building the products and platforms that will power our media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.
Reach, Scale & Impact: More than ever, Disney’s technology and products serve as a signature doorway for fans' connections with the company’s brands and stories. Disney+. Hulu. ESPN. ABC. ABC News…and many more. These products and brands – and the unmatched stories, storytellers, and events they carry – matter to millions of people globally.

Product Management is responsible for driving the overall user experience, feature strategies and concepts, and engagement paradigms for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global portfolio of consumer-facing streaming and digital products – including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, and Star Wars.
We are looking for a Sr Principal Product Manager, Sports Commerce to drive highly cross-functional commerce initiatives across Disney Entertainment and ESPN. This role will sit at the intersection of sports fandom and commerce, with a focus on driving growth and revenue. This role will report to the VP, Product - Commerce.
This is an individual contributor role with significant scope, influence, and executive visibility. You will lead complex, multi-team efforts—balancing the development of a scalable horizontal commerce platform and user flows with the differentiated needs of sports. This role will be responsible for improving acquisition, monetization, and retention through thoughtful, high-impact product strategy and execution.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end product strategy for sports commerce, identifying the highest-impact opportunities to drive growth across acquisition, monetization, and retention.
Serve as the product point of view for the broader sports commerce roadmap.
Balance platform-scale thinking with vertical-specific needs, ensuring sports use cases are well-served without fragmenting the core commerce stack.
Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and partner product teams, often without direct authority.
Define clear product vision, problem statements, and roadmaps for initiatives such as:
○ Sports-related subscription flows and upgrades
○ Bundles, add-ons, and premium access
○ Retention and re-engagement mechanics for sports fans
Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks, and own outcomes, not just outputs.
Make principled tradeoffs between speed, impact, complexity, and long-term strategy.
Communicate clearly and concisely with senior leaders, synthesizing complex information into actionable decisions.
What We’re Looking For
12+ years of product management or product leadership experience, ideally in consumer media, sports, commerce, or subscription businesses.
Proven ability to lead highly cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and organizations.
Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution—you can zoom out to define vision and zoom in to ship.
Experience building or scaling commerce, payments, subscription, or monetization platforms.
Deep understanding of consumer acquisition, pricing, and retention dynamics.
Exceptional communication and influence skills; comfortable operating with ambiguity and navigating complex org structures.
Data-driven mindset with experience defining metrics, running experiments, and using insights to drive decisions.
Bachelor’s degree required
Nice to Have
Experience working with sports content or fandom-driven products.
Background in platform product management and consumer experiences supporting multiple verticals.
Familiarity with bundling strategies, promotions, or partner integrations.
Experience operating in large, matrixed organizations.
