A Day in the LifeThis is an exciting opportunity for a high potential, analytical, pro-active candidate to join the Global Pricing Strategy Team. This position will focus on Cardiovascular/Neuroscience Portfolio pricing initiatives in a collaborative environment which values your insight, encourages continuous learning, and promotes innovation.
The Global Sr. Pricing Strategy Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of global pricing strategies across key product categories. Core priorities include defining global floor prices for main products, aligning pricing governance across regions, supporting global product launches with strategic pricing input, and conducting global pricing performance reviews. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive data-informed decisions that support global profitability and market competitiveness.

This role will lead global pricing strategy initiatives and will be part of the global Pricing Strategy function, collaborating closely with regional and local Pricing & Marketing teams as well as the Finance organization. Key responsibilities:

  • Global Pricing Leadership: Develop and manage global pricing guidelines and floor prices for strategic products, aligning closely with regional business goals and commercial strategies.
  • Launch Support: Provide strategic pricing input during new product planning and launches, including upstream pricing modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Portfolio Strategy: Partner with Global Marketing to shape pricing approaches that support innovation, feature development, and long-term portfolio growth.
  • Governance & Process Optimization: Implement and maintain pricing governance processes across regions to ensure consistency and adherence to strategic pricing principles.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Drive accountability to target prices and guidelines, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and geographies.
  • Performance Analytics: Analyze global pricing trends and outcomes, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build alignment on pricing strategies and decisions through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders, including the OU President and global Marketing teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Pricing Strategy, Marketing, or related commercial roles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with minimal oversight and a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience working in global pricing governance or product launch planning
  • Proficiency with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to translate data into strategy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence management skills
  • Ability to navigate and build consensus in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
  • Strong presentation skills with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and dynamic environments

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$141,600.00 - $212,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
