You serve as the definitive technical authority and trusted advisor for partner technical practices, empowering them to architect, position, and deploy enterprise solutions built on our Customer Lake platform, while leveraging Lakewatch for data quality and system monitoring. Operating at the intersection of deep technical leadership, partner enablement, and strategic executive influence, you serve as a force multiplier across your region and partner channel.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Scale Partner Practice Growth: Train and enable partner technical teams (SIs, GSIs, ISVs) to build repeatable, high-value practices around Customer Lake and Lakewatch
  • Drive Partner-Led Platform Consumption: Co-architect complex partner solutions that accelerate customer adoption, deployment velocity, and platform usage across Customer Lake environments

  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate across internal Field Engineering, Product, and Partner Management teams to deliver unified partner GTM initiatives

What We Look For

  • 8+ years in solutions architecture, partner technical management, principal engineering, or senior customer-/partner-facing technical pre-sales roles
  • Proven track record working with system integrators (SIs/GSIs), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), or strategic technology partners (ISVs)
  • Expert-level coding proficiency — Python, SQL, and ideally Spark/PySpark. You will complete a live coding assessment and a platform build during the interview
  • Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture: distributed systems, real-time/streaming, Customer Lake design patterns, data governance frameworks, and cloud-native platforms
  • Deep knowledge of data observability, automated data quality, and platform telemetry using Lakewatch or equivalent monitoring tools
  • Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge (or equivalent depth in competing platforms with demonstrated rapid learning ability)
  • Declared technical specialization with recognized depth — e.g., real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions
  • Proven track record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption in large accounts
  • Executive presence — ability to influence VPs, Practice Directors, and C-level stakeholders on long-term data and AI strategy
  • Experience leading competitive displacements and complex enterprise evaluations
  • Strong strategic thinking — connecting technical architecture decisions to business outcomes and revenue impact
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience); advanced degrees are valued

  • Databricks certifications
  • Prior experience at Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or a top-tier data/AI company

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
