Job DescriptionVisa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. ML Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to
- Extend Visa’s AI as a Service platform to the Public Cloud, MultiCloud, and On-Premises environments.
- Enhance and optimize existing codebase and development procedures.
- Develop new solutions.
- Utilize experience with public cloud, multi-cloud, on-premises, and AI/ML production systems.
- Utilize programming languages including Go, Rust, Java, Python.
- Utilize model inference engines including TensorFlow Serving, Triton, or other AI accelerators.
- Build large scale distributed high performance systems.
- Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an ML Engineer-related occupation.
- Position requires experience in the following:
- Public cloud, multi-cloud, on-premises, and AI/ML production systems;
- Programming languages including Go, Rust, Java, or Python;
- Model inference engines including TensorFlow Serving, Triton, or other AI accelerators;
- Building large scale distributed high performance systems;
- Cloud Platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure;
- Containerization and Orchestration;
- Kubernetes;
- Big Data and streaming technologies like Flink, Amazon Simple Queue Service, or Kafka;
- General Software Development;
- Developing new solutions; and
- Cutting-Edge AI Techniques for Generating Synthetic Data in Privacy Sensitive Machine Learning.
Worksite: Austin, Texas
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $130,700.00 to $202,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
