The Sr. Manager of Category Sales has responsibility for helping to drive sales for the financial clients in a market or region. This individual will work directly with the Regional President, or the Directors of Sales and other Sales leadership to provide training, direction, and overall strategy in the category/vertical.
Responsibilities:
  • Personally drive national financial category sales advertising revenue and market growth.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Prospect and build relationships with new financial clients
  • Own the plan to ensure Local Sales Account Executives and National Sales Managers are educated and motivated to achieve category-specific revenue goals.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of key category clients, partners, and trends.
  • In partnership with leadership, share category and industry updates as deemed needed.
  • Collaborate with advertisers and creative/production teams to develop compelling campaign assets and solutions.
  • In partnership with the Learning team, ensure regular training for sales teams on category insights, research tools, and advertising best practices.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in national advertising sales, ideally with a focus on financial category
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with proven ability to coach and motivate teams.
  • Analytical thinker with experience in research, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Hands on experience using advertising sales systems (CRM, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
The base pay for this position generally is between
$105,000.00 and $120,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at
$80,000.
