As the Marketing Creative Director for VALORANT Mobile, you will report to the Director of Marketing Creative Direction for VALORANT, and will be responsible for shaping and delivering world-class campaigns for VALORANT MOBILE in China. Partnering closely with internal teams and external production partners to deliver on the high demand for compelling creative content across gameplay trailers, cinematics, illustrations, UA assets and more–all crafted with authenticity and a deep connection to both the product and the player. Working with the VALORANT Mobile publishing team, you’ll help execute creative strategy, manage and guide vendor partnerships, and ensure each campaign meets its strategic goals and maintains the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate and support craft excellence on gameplay and cinematic content across strategy, creative, art, writing, video and audio.
  • Guide workstreams and help uphold the bar for creative craft excellence within Riot and in vendor partnerships. 
  • Strong eye for creative quality with experience in guiding asset reviews, offering actionable feedback, and elevating work to meet evolving creative and platform best practices. 
  • Partner across multi-disciplinary, international development, publishing, and central teams — including external partners — to align and elevate creative execution.
  • Collaborate with creative directors, writers, art directors, producers, editors, directors, artists, and more to deliver creative that surprises and delights our players.
  • Effectively balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, with a focus on aligning with teams to achieve creative excellence — even as expectations and standards vary.
  • You will work with our VALORANT MOBILE leadership team to ensure timely resolution of needs and advocate for opportunities. 
  • Hold us accountable to be true partners to the other studio pillars, external vendors, regional hubs and regional vendors. 
  • Innovate in the space of creative marketing and storytelling. 
  • Be an active participant in the creative director discipline to ensure global creative quality bar is met and developed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalent
  • 7+ years of leading successful creative teams in games marketing or creative agency with focus on gaming projects
  • Experience marketing Mobile games
  • Impressive portfolio that demonstrates a proven track record of developing 360 campaigns from strategic creation to final delivery while building the foundation of a brand identity with a unique creative platform
  • Experience collaborating across multiple marketing craft disciplines from Brand, Creative, Comms and Channels
  • Experience leading creatives with various levels of seniority 
  • Level-headed approach to change management, conflict resolution and patience through the fluctuating creative development process
  • Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Expertise with Project Management tools (ie. Airtable, Favro, Smartsheets) and DAMs (ie. Iconik, Brandfolder) for database management, tracking, and archiving
  • Understand what gaming competitors are doing to promote acquisition, fandom, and engagement
  • Experience managing 360 creative marketing campaigns for game launches
  • Prior experience in the China market is a strong advantage
  • PC and Console marketing experience optional
