The Senior Manager, AMER Workplace Operations, will be responsible for managing a team of workplace staff and overseeing all operational activities within our office spaces across the Americas region. You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance, onsite amenities, employee experience initiatives, front desk management, food services, and related activities. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless workplace experience that fosters productivity, well-being, and engagement for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of workplace staff, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s vision and value
    • Set clear expectations, provide coaching, and support professional growth within the team.
    • Oversee daily operations of front desk services, maintenance, food services, and employee amenities.
  • Workplace Operations & Facilities Management:
    • Manage the overall operations of a growing portfolio of office spaces across the Americas region, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of office spaces, including managing vendor relationships, addressing service requests, and overseeing preventative maintenance programs.
    • Oversee the delivery of onsite amenities and services that enhance the employee experience, including food services, fitness facilities, and event spaces.
  • Employee Experience:
    • Partner with HR and other cross-functional teams to ensure that workplace services contribute positively to employee engagement and overall well-being.
    • Develop and implement programs that enhance employee satisfaction and support a collaborative, productive work environment.
    • Ensure front desk operations provide a welcoming and professional experience for employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Operational Strategy & Reporting:
    • Establish and manage budgets for workplace operations, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to budget constraints.
    • Develop and implement operational processes and workflows that drive efficiency and streamline daily activities.
    • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on operational performance, team productivity, and employee satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Identify and implement best practices in workplace operations, facilities management, and employee experience.
    • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and workplace innovations to continually enhance our office spaces and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of diverse workplace professionals.
  • Strong understanding of office space management, maintenance, food services, and employee experience best practices.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive initiatives from inception to completion.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proficiency in workplace management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
