Johnson & Johnson is seeking a strategic, analytics-driven leader to join our Commercial organization. In this highly visible role, you will define and execute data-driven strategies that advance Ottava’s Customer Success objectives and support the adoption of surgical robotics in the operating room (OR). Your primary focus will be leveraging advanced analytics and insights to optimize performance, improve OR workflows, and guide long-term growth initiatives.

You will lead the design and analysis of end-to-end processes and utilization metrics to uncover transformational opportunities. Additionally, you will partner with front-line sales and clinical teams to help hospitals implement strategies that enhance cost efficiency, drive robotic system adoption, and improve utilization in surgical environments. Your expertise in healthcare operations, combined with advanced analytical capabilities, will inform decisions across areas such as clinical workflows, OR integration, and procurement strategies.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with external customers and internal stakeholders—including sales, marketing, and professional education leaders—to design innovative, evidence-based solutions that enable scalable success. This position requires exceptional business acumen, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to influence change across a global, matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market assessments, competitor intelligence, and healthcare ecosystem research focused on surgical robotics and OR efficiency.

  • Develop and continuously refine dashboards integrated with automated data pipelines to provide real-time insights on product performance and OR utilization.

  • Deliver analytics that initiate problem-solving and translate findings into actionable recommendations for hospitals and surgical teams.

  • Build analytical models to evaluate growth initiatives, robotic adoption strategies, and operational improvements.

  • Develop strategies and solutions to address complex challenges, unlock growth opportunities, and drive profitable outcomes.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and clinical education teams to align processes and projects with divisional objectives.

  • Build robust business cases with cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and projected impact.

  • Present recommendations to senior leadership and influence decision-making through clear, strategic communication.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies (AI, advanced analytics) and pilot new tools to improve scalability and OR efficiency.

  • Collaborate with IT and innovation teams to implement digital capabilities that drive transformation in surgical robotics.

  • Serve as a change agent, fostering stakeholder engagement and adoption across hospitals and internal teams.

  • Build strong collaborative relationships across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Professional Education, and other internal partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in strategy, healthcare process improvement, or management consulting.

  • Proven ability to build business cases and influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or technology industry.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Technologically savvy with experience in data tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MS Dynamics, and AI-enabled platforms.

  • Strategic thinker with a transformation mindset and customer-centric approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant master’s degree.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through influence in complex environments.

Other:

  • This role will be based out of Santa Clara, CA. and may require up to 50% travel (International and Domestic)

  • The anticipated base pay for this role is $142,000 to $244,950
