What you will do:

As the Senior Manager of Reimbursement and Market Access (RMA) for Interventional Spine (IVS) you will lead payer-based initiatives to expand patient access to Stryker products and procedures.  You'll work directly with Medical Societies, Commercial and Government payers including key opinion leaders, Medical Directors and policy makers.  You'll work closely with our clinical research and medical affairs teams to create clinical messaging that provides opportunities within integrated health organizations, technology assessment organizations and value analysis teams. You will be the subject matter expert regarding national and regional reimbursement coverage for internal and external customers. You could travel up to 75% of time meeting with customers, KOL’s, payors, conferences, and attending marketing/sales meetings.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Medicare contractors and commercial payors (including Medical Directors, Policy Analysts, Case Managers, Provider Relations Representatives, etc.) to obtain positive coverage decisions that include adequate payment

  • Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs regional & national professional society leadership to support reimbursement efforts

  • Pursue opportunities to expand market access through, GPOs, integrated health plans, and Technology Assessment Organizations/Committees

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of national, regional and local reimbursement coverage issues through payor research, face-to-face meetings, KOL interviews and attendance at public meetings

  • Working with key professional societies facilitate coding, coverage, and payment strategies for Stryker Instruments products

  • Provide market feedback to business management on customer business trends, competitive updates, industry issues and opportunities

  • Identify and establish relationships with multiple buying influencers at account level, especially within the facility C-suite and develop action plans to advance their understanding and support of Stryker Instruments business units product portfolio

  • Travel with field sales team members to support and educate customers with identified reimbursement challenges and to gain support for payor education strategies through policy and/or clinical guideline development

What you need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in payor/provider relations required.

  • 4+ years' experience in Coding, coverage and reimbursement experience required.

  • 4+ years of Medicare Part B and legislative policy issues that relate to reimbursement experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Provider relations preferred within medical device or pharmaceutical sector.

  • Prior experience in specialties such as Spine, Orthopedic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management, or Oncology preferred.

$145,700 - $321,000.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 70%
