Job Title: Senior Manager, Quality Operations
Reports to: Director, Quality Operations
Location:  Remote (Goleta, CA or Portland, OR preferred)

The Role
The Senior Manager of Quality Operations is a supporting contact for product quality for all Deckers brands, products, global markets and operations team members. This team member is part of a newly created function, Global Quality Operations, focused on critical initiatives ensuring product quality is maintained and elevated during Decker’s Brands next growth phase.
This individual will be responsible for developing and optimizing tools, processes, and KPIs that enhance quality issue management, consumer-centric performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration across Product Development, Factory, and Marketplace teams. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that consumer feedback is integrated into quality strategies to elevate brand trust and product excellence.
While this role is part of the Global Quality Operations organization, it is also part of a globally unified quality organization (made up of Development, Sourcing, Operations, and Distribution teammates), constantly striving to represent the voice of the customer, balancing product excellence demand with manufacturing efficiencies to meet the consumer need.
This role is ideal for a strategic and data-driven quality leader who thrives on building innovative solutions that enhance product excellence and consumer satisfaction.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
1. Quality Issue Management
Develop and implement scalable tools and processes for tracking, analyzing, and resolving product quality issues.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, timely resolution, and clear accountability.
Lead project management and root cause analysis efforts, driving corrective and preventive actions across the value chain
2. Performance Measurement and KPI Development
Define/refine consumer-centric quality performance indicators to drive upstream calibration/improvements across Development, Manufacturing, and the Marketplace.
Establish real-time dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights for leadership. Help answer the question “How do our consumers feel about our product quality?”
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure KPIs drive meaningful quality improvements and business impact.
3. Consumer-Centric Quality Advocacy
Develop mechanisms to capture and analyze consumer sentiment related to product quality.
Synthesize consumer insights into tangible quality improvements, working closely with design, development, and sourcing teams.
Amplify the consumer’s voice within the organization to proactively address quality concerns and enhance product delight.
4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in current quality operations and implement best-in-class solutions to enhance agility and responsiveness.
Leverage data analytics, AI, and digital tools to drive predictive quality management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding quality excellence within cross-functional teams.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a team member of Global Quality and foster an environment of effective teamwork and collaboration in service of the consumer
Provide analysis/insights to senior leadership on quality trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategy development

Organized project manager capable of prioritizing multiple competing priorities under pressure.

Team-centric: demonstrates behaviors that build team cohesion
We’d love to hear from people with
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Data Science or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Quality Operations, Product Integrity, or Manufacturing within the footwear, apparel, accessories, or home industries.
Strong expertise in quality management systems, issue resolution frameworks, and KPI development.
Proven track record in leveraging consumer insights to drive quality improvements.
Proficient in understanding global compliance demands.
Proficient in understanding quality audit processes and approaches
Experience with data analytics, digital tools, and process automation in quality operations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with global partners.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, or other quality methodologies.
Experience working with global supply chains and manufacturing partners.
Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities

$160,000 - $170,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
