Your role at Dynatrace
Reporting directly to the Global Public Relations Director, we seek an exceptional candidate with a track record of impactful in-house as well as agency B2B public relations experience that includes direct support of technology companies (observability, performance management a plus).
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • PR Strategy: In partnership and support of the director of global public relations, implement the execution of communication and media relations programs in partnership with cross-functional teams across the marketing, partner/channel, product, and support departments and the business. Work with a wider team to drive an always-on communications program and a proactive storytelling program.
  • Thought Leadership: Drive consistency in all corporate messaging and Q&As; advance Dynatrace corporate narrative and executive thought leadership content that educates key audiences on Dynatrace point of view, products, and policies across all channels, including press, digital, speaking opportunities, events, and analyst relations.
  • Innovative Storytelling: Accelerate Dynatrace media momentum through creative and innovative storytelling efforts across traditional and new channels. Identify and tell compelling stories beyond major product moments, securing earned media coverage.
  • Corporate news announcements: Assist global PR director with collection and review of messaging input docs, draft variety of press releases (product, partner, corporate).
  • Agency Management: Lead weekly calls with US PR agency. Facilitate and manage inbound media requests.
  • Review all PR content including briefing documents, Q&A, commentary, and bylines
  • Manage media rapid response program. Vet opportunities, source comments, gain internal alignment and facilitate commentary reviews
  • Speaking and Awards: Manage speaking and awards calendar, including selection of strategic opportunities, content reviews, submission deadlines, and internal approvals.
  • Reporting: Work with global PR agency to manage reporting - global coverage, message pull through, competitive analysis. Own coverage recaps following news announcements and corporate milestones (e.g., earnings).
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate with social, internal communications, and global teams to further amplify content and/or news.


What will help you succeed
Minimum Requirements

  • Solid B2B public and media relations experience
  • Exceptional communication capabilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate nuanced issues, strategies, and briefs clearly.
  • Business maturity and experience working and communicating cross-functionally with all roles, departments, and levels of seniority within the organization, including senior executives.
  • Ability to fluidly navigate between strategy and execution.
  • Can develop high-level strategic plans and produce crisp, clear communications that drive results.
  • Top-notch decision-making skills: ability to prioritize among competing opportunities and tasks and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
  • Comfortable leading multiple projects at once and shifting quickly when needed to deliver on tight turnarounds.
  • Experience and passion for rapid response and crisis communications including shaping complicated stories.
    ** Writing samples of recent press releases, pitches, bylines, and/or blogs are required in this application process.


Preferred Requirements

  • 7+ years of agency and in-house experience.
  • Can distill complex technology topics into digestible, relatable content; can work with spokespeople to deliver that content through facilitated media interviews.
  • Natural and intellectual curiosity, regularly thinks of ways to do things differently, more efficiently, and with greater productivity.
  • An understanding of social media preferred.
  • A good sense of humor is helpful!


Compensation Data

  • The base salary range for this role is $131,000 - $160,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location.
  • Our total compensation package includes unlimited personal time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a reward system.
  • We also offer medical/dental benefits, and a company matching 401(k) plan for retirement.
