Department Overview
You will join the Segment Solution Readiness Team as Senior Manager - Program Management, Restaurant Technology supporting the IOM and IDL markets. You will be responsible for the readiness of our key restaurant technology initiatives that will help deliver a better experience for our customers and ensure our market segment is adopting and embracing global technology solutions.
Daily you will partner with colleagues in many other teams within our segment but also across Global Technology including Product Engineering, Architecture Services, Project Management Office and Global Release Managers. You will also work closely with our Global Strategic
Technology Partners to make ready our new restaurant solutions and the eventual deployments into our Markets.
You will join the Segment Technology Team which is part of the McDonald's Global Technology function. You will be interacting with colleagues and leadership in the IOM & IDL segment and markets, and the wider Global Technology Functions.
Duties
  • Anything to do with new or existing Restaurant Products and Technology solutions that have not yet been deployed or that we're still learning how to deploy.
  • Manage project plans, roadmaps and execution to achieve the project goal using various development methods
  • Own planning function and roadmap for segment restaurant portfolio
  • Leading the readiness assessment of Customer Products and Technology solutions
  • Developing and implementing global processes, policies, and standards for restaurant solutions
  • Report project status back to segment/global throughout the life cycle of the projects using Clarizen/Smartsheet
  • Manage project changes by using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project on track.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to supervise the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all team members.
  • Align partners and team members by ensuring a common understanding of expectations for the project.
  • Depending on the development method used for the project, may be responsible for managing / recording detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with partners in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.
  • Work to implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate risks.
  • Document high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment in order to understand project limitations.
  • Lead the adoption of key takeaways from project retrospectives.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8+ years professional experience in a similar role leading complex cross-functional IT initiatives that included the ability to develop project plans, communicate deadlines, carry out project deadlines and creatively tackle issues.
  • Demonstrated ability in a similar role leading complex cross-functional Technology initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge and proven experience of leading teams in the areas of:
  • Program and Staff Management
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in restaurant solutions to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Experience of working in an ambiguous environment that requires the regular identification, definition and implementation of change.
  • To be willing to travel internationally and work hours to accommodate the multiple time zones in which we operate.
  • The ability to deliver information in a clear, succinct way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.
  • Proven experience working within Digital or Retail Technology (e.g. Mobile Apps, e-commerce, Self-Order Kiosk, POS, Delivery).
  • Experience of Agile and Digital Transformation in large multi-national business.
  • Strong Project Management skills - PMP or other Project Management Certification preferred. Exposure to agile methodologies is a plus.
  • An attention to detail and an analytical approach will assist you when mapping out plans and resource needs for sophisticated initiative

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $149,260.00 - $190,310.00 per year
