Position Summary:

This position will lead business case development to support pricing and contracting strategy through detailed analytics, scenario modeling, and forecasting.  This role will report to the Lead for Pricing & Contracting Strategy to ensure a compliant, disciplined pricing and contracting approach, while shaping asset value strategy for current and future portfolio products in ophthalmology and rare disease. This individual will lead the execution of payer and provider contracting and will play an integral role in informing analytics and financial impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Support US contracting strategy and analytics with business case development, forecasting, and scenario modeling, including interpretation of decision interdependencies and risks; work in close collaboration with strategic account management, government pricing, contract operations, finance, and business intelligence
  • Design, develop, and refine pricing models to evaluate financial impact, including to ASP and net price through defined performance measurement techniques; leverage models to develop strategic recommendations
  • Responsible for evaluating contract performance, structuring, and managing contracting analyses and recommendations while developing best practices approaches to maximizing profit & customer growth
  • Create customer-facing presentations that convey key contract performance metrics
  • Provide meaningful analysis and guidance to the company on issues relating to access, performance, and channel activities based on contracting decisions
  • Model pricing and contracting scenarios from multiple stakeholders’ perspectives; utilize outputs to optimize contract offers and stakeholder specific contracting strategies
  • Partner with account management, forecasting, business intelligence, pricing & contracting strategy and operations to provide analytical support on product national share trends, projected market dynamics, and cost impact analysis of contracts

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience with business strategy, consulting, finance or market access disciplines including pricing and reimbursement preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities, including taking incomplete information and develop impactful insights
  • Proficiency at analyzing large data sets to derive insights, build models and forecast future business
  • Financial and business acumen including in-depth understanding of channel mix, payer mix, and gross-to-net
  • Applicant must have excellent organizational and project management skills. In addition, must be able to effectively communicate with others
  • Must have exceptional time management skills - ability to prioritize work and meet shifting deadlines.
  • Must be open-minded and nimble to drive innovative solutions to meet customer needs within a biotech environment
