Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Paid social media who is a data-driven decision maker and creative enthusiast to lead and drive our paid social advertising campaigns across Meta and other social platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of running high-performing campaigns that blend innovative, compelling creative with precise, data-informed optimization strategies. A marketer who thrives in a values-based and collaborative environment and demonstrates a growth mindset. With a passion to dive deep, this candidate has strong project management skills with attention to detail, and a track record of transforming marketing performance data into digestible, actionable insights.

As a key driver of California Closets’ growth, this role works in partnership with cross-functional teams, and drives the results for a high-impact, high-visibility acquisition marketing channel, offering significant opportunities to make a meaningful impact on meeting our business objectives.  The Senior Manager of Paid Social Media will report to the Vice President of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities                                                                                                                                       

  • Own the paid social content calendar and execute full funnel creative strategies from awareness and consideration to customer prospecting and retargeting.  Creative will be informed by the Brand’s content calendar, current social media trends, and data-driven organic and paid social performance insights
  • Drive and manage customer acquisition and reactivation through performance driven campaigns, focusing on CPA and ROAS targets
  • Provide strategic direction and feedback to external agency partners on campaign planning, audience targeting, and pacing
  • Possess a true love of data and problem solving.  Know what data to pull to obtain needed insights and be skilled at interpreting the data and knowing where and how to dig deeper to uncover meaningful performance trends and key insights.  Be able to identify data anomalies and uncover reasons for unexpected outcomes
  • Establish account and campaign strategies rooted in experimentation, industry benchmarks, and insights from account representatives at Meta, TikTok, Pinterest etc.
  • Conduct A/B testing on creatives, landing pages, and bidding strategies to continuously optimize performance
  • Proactively identify and embrace all aspects of social media – from algorithm shifts to available audiences, campaign and placement types, ways to leverage 1P data by platform and maintain awareness about emerging platforms and related technologies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with social media platform partners to build and maintain strong relationships while gaining access to alpha/beta tests and emerging product opportunities
  • Provide editorial direction and content strategies to develop compelling multimedia content that is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for platform best practices
  • Collaborate with the Brand Content team to identify, engage and manage relationships with influencers and creators representing California Closets in paid social media campaigns
  • Manage the results of paid social media influencer marketing strategies that align with our Brand goals and objectives
  • Present the strategy, tactics and results to key owner/operator stakeholders, sharing insights and tactics used improve channel performance via in-person meetings & presentations, remote webinars and internal videos
  • Run in-depth post-campaign analysis, develop test plans for new user acquisition initiatives, and measure performance to identify testing opportunities
  • Meet and exceed monthly volume and ROAS targets by driving continuous improvement and experimentation of new optimization concepts and tactics
  • Collaborate across levels and functions within the Growth, Tech, Operations, Solutions and Brand teams to support company growth initiatives
  • Ensure agency partner teams effectively balance bid methods to deliver intended outcomes, at scale and on time, and within efficiency guardrails
  • Ensure that all your efforts and those of 3rd party partners adhere to the latest corporate privacy and data governance policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field
  • 7-10 years of professional hands-on paid social media experience, content innovation and digital marketing, ideally a mix of agency and within a premium lifestyle brand
  • A proven track record of building and scaling high-performing social campaigns that drive both engagement and revenue.
  • Advanced experience building, managing and optimizing social campaigns within the Meta and other social media platforms
  • Deep experience in managing paid social media projects and implementing paid social media influencer marketing strategies and paid media campaigns
  • A cultural trendsetter, in step with emerging social trends, content formats, and consumer behaviors
  • Expertise using Google Analytics (G4) and leveraging data and metrics to drive campaign improvements
  • Strong experience with Excel (data manipulation, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
