The Need 

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Mid-Level Fundraising. 

 

This leader is a relational, strategic, and results-driven fundraiser who will be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team of mid-level donor officers. The successful candidate is a seasoned fundraising professional who brings both people leadership and revenue-driving expertise and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. 

 

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Vice President, Philanthropy, and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the effective execution of our mid-level strategy to drive revenue growth. 

  • Effectively manage mid-level officers to achieve revenue goals and retain our top talent through support and professional development. 

  • Partner closely with the Marketing & Philanthropy Leaders to ensure an integrated donor experience and strategy across the mass, mid and major donor pipeline. 

  • Provide agile leadership that actively contributes to a collaborative, joyful, innovative team culture. 

  • Manage a small portfolio of mid-level donors giving $1,000-10,000 or more annually. 

  • Contribute to exponential growth in midlevel donor revenue across the team through the development and execution of fundraising strategies. 

  • Work with the Philanthropy Leadership Team to set revenue growth goals and develop related strategies and KPIs to drive growth.  

 

 

Qualifications 

  • 5 years of sales and/or fundraising leadership and management experience. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred.

  • Proven experience delivering revenue results in a nonprofit setting, including a track record of executing strategies that generate more than $1 million annually. 

  • Proven ability to effectively develop, nurture and maintain individual relationships and the skill to lead those individuals to make joyful financial investments. 

  • Experience managing, tracking and reporting revenue goals.
