Senior Manager Market Development (CDMO Services)

This role can sit anywhere in the US

East Coast Preferred

The Senior Manager, Global Market Development for the Pharma Services group is responsible for leading a team defining and implementing the global go-to-market strategy and demand generation for integrated programs. This role will be fully remote based anywhere in North America or the United Kingdom.

The successful candidate will be a proven, results oriented leader who will coordinate closely across marketing groups, sales, and business management to develop and implement marketing programs to drive demand, delight customers and achieve goals.  This is a high visibility position to business leaders requiring executive presence, professional acuity and the ability to empower teams.

What will you do?

  • Collect feedback from customers, regional counterparts, and field sales to spot market trends and customer challenges for a competitive edge.
  • Analyze and report on the efficiency of marketing performance across segments to make strategic recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop tactical action plans that drive demand and growth in key channels and/or customer segments resulting in sales and long-term customer engagement.
  • Develop and integrate marketing plans across other regional and group go-to-market programs through influence, motivation, and development of specific tactics to support goals.
  • Develop organization, acquire and retain talent, and grow the market development team.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business marketing or life sciences field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in strategic/tactical marketing or product management/marketing.
  • Pharma services experience is a requirement.
  • Preferred: MBA or equivalent experience in marketing or business and an entrepreneurial spirit. Previous experience as a people manager with direct reports.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record to lead teams and drive outstanding results.
  • Demonstrated success in building customer value and implementing sales strategies across multiple digital channels.
  • A strong understanding of marketing functions, planning, strategy, and execution; pharma services markets, segments and competitors.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business argument development; the ability to interpret business problems and identify business needs out of data.
  • Collaborative approach to solving routine to diverse problems, influencing cross-functional teams to implement efficient solutions in a large matrix setting.
  • Ability to communicate go-to-market strategies, metrics, failures, success stories etc to improve overall marketing efficiency proactively.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
