About LAKE

LAKE started because two friends had a wild dream and the grit to see it through. We retained that entrepreneurial spirit while infusing our company with the things that really matter along the way, like kindness, trust, and authenticity. We're always above ego and work hard — in the softest pajamas imaginable. LAKE believes that the most comfortable part of your day should be celebrated. For us, these comfortable moments are nights at home with our families, weekend escapes with friends, a dose of me-time after a long day, and holidays that gather everyone together.

At LAKE, we make the everyday effortless – honoring family first, collaborating above ego, acting responsibly with care for the future and building with purpose. We dream boldly, create thoughtfully and deliver with precision. And behind it all, we rely on intuitive technology, thoughtfully crafted and intentionally built, to help bring that vision to life every day.

We are searching for a Senior IT Manager who enjoys both strategy and service – a leader as comfortable architecting enterprise tool strategy as they are troubleshooting a login issue. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll guide LAKE’s technology ecosystem and small IT team through a critical phase of growth, ensuring our tools, systems, and digital experiences reflect the same ease, quality, and thoughtfulness as the products we create.

Your Mission

To lead LAKE’s IT operations and IT team by strategically managing enterprise applications, IT governance, cybersecurity, and end-user support — ensuring that technology empowers our teams, safeguards our resources, and drives cross-functional efficiency. You’ll guide the team to deliver seamless, secure, and effective technology experiences that help every department thrive.

  • Champion a collaborative, approachable IT culture that reflects LAKE's values, supporting teams with empathy, agility, and clear communication.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the IT team, fostering professional growth and cross-functional partnership.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, governance policies, and best practices that align with LAKE's business goals and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Oversee IT budgets, SaaS licensing, and vendor relationships with a focus on scalability, cost-effectiveness, and trust-based partnerships.
  • Own the administration and optimization of company-wide applications such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, CoPilot, Asana, Adobe, Zendesk, and NetSuite.
  • Partner with teams across LAKE to ensure technology solutions are intuitive, empowering, and aligned with business need driving user adoption, enhancing collaboration, and simplifying workflows.
  • Safeguard company resources by leading cybersecurity initiatives, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards while maintaining a proactive approach to incident response and investing in continuous improvement.
  • Ensure our employees receive timely, thoughtful IT support by implementing structured helpdesk processes and driving a high standard of service.
  • Promote self-service resources and training to help teams feel confident and capable in their daily technology use.
  • Serve as the key IT liaison to all teams, ensuring technology enables LAKE's mission to deliver unmatched hospitality and make the everyday enjoyable.

Who You Are

  • A balanced strategy-to-execution thinker with 7–10+ years of IT leadership experience, ideally in a fast-growing, creative or retail-driven environment.
  • Equally comfortable building high-level systems architecture and answering a support ticket — you know that excellence lives in both.
  • A clear communicator and natural collaborator, able to lead with both conviction and humility.
  • Deeply experienced with enterprise SaaS platforms, user support infrastructure, cloud-based tools, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Grounded in best practices, but flexible in your approach — you find the balance between structure and adaptability.
  • Inspired by beautiful systems, thoughtful experiences, and the opportunity to create something lasting.

Why LAKE

LAKE is a brand built on comfort — in our products and in how we work together. We take pride in thoughtful execution, a warm and high-functioning culture, and a shared belief in elevating the everyday. That includes our technology -  it’s not just function, it’s a foundation. As our Senior IT Manager, you'll play a vital role in making sure it’s strong, seamless, and beautifully built.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
