Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards & HR Operations, the Senior Manager, HR Technology (Workday) role is responsible for the design, adoption, implementation, and optimization of Cineplex’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in support of the company’s strategic priorities, as well as directing the operational effectiveness of HR services. You will act as a key liaison between HR, IT (Digital & Technology), Operations and external vendors to enable operational excellence and deliver a seamless employee experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Ownership for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Talent Optimization, and Advanced Compensation modules and related business processes, including data governance, downstream system integrations, security and compliance
Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and functional leaders to continuously improve service delivery and employee experience
Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, in partnership with IT
Ensure up-to-date documentation of HRIS functionalities, processes and capabilities
Lead projects related to enhancements of HRIS including gathering requirements, developing specifications, preparing user communications, conducting training sessions and coordinating implementation activities
Identify emerging trends in HR technology and assess their potential impact on the organization’s use of HRIS and related processes to improve process effectiveness
Maintain relationships with key vendor partners to ensure awareness of evolving HRIS solutions and to assess their applicability to the organization’s needs
Provide advice and guidance to senior leaders on HRIS-related issues
Support the organization on how to make more efficient use of people data and analytics to drive better decision making and people-focused initiatives
Define and refine service level agreements and key metrics to monitor efficiency and effectiveness; analyze internal customer feedback and engage with key stakeholders for input
Lead an HRIS team of four analysts, providing regular training, feedback, coaching, and recognition
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Information Technology
Minimum 7 years progressive experience leading Workday HCM and other modules, including configuration, integration, release management, business process optimization and security management, in a complex business environment
Strong understanding of HR functions, end to end processes, and systems integration to ensure operational excellence of HR services and optimization of HRIS
Certification in Workday HCM is definite asset
Proven project management skills and strong understanding of change management discipline
Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with all levels of the organization
Experience leading a team of Workday analysts
