Game Product Managers at Riot lead passionate teams to create and evolve products and experiences for our players. We seek to deeply understand our product’s audience and drive strategy to create value for players and for Riot. We help concept, build, and influence projects at all stages of production. 

As the Sr. Manager, Game Product Management on an unannounced R&D project, you will be the product lead for the game’s monetization strategy and content. You will lead a cross-functional team that is responsible for solving novel monetization challenges, meshing it tightly with goals-aligned meta progression systems and features. You will be responsible for translating monetization goals and values from the Director of Game Product Management into strategic plans; working cross functionally to set clear direction and operationalize those plans on the team. You will report to the Director of Game Product Management of the game.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with project directors to develop core strategies and key tactics for player-focused content and monetization, solving complex monetization problems leveraging a wide variety of product and design capabilities 
  • Partner with product leaders to develop a robust strategy for supporting ongoing player retention and engagement that’s realized through resonant progression, social and competitive systems.
  • Maintain deep audience & player empathy to inform your strategic understanding opportunity spaces. 
  • Operationalize your impact by ensuring your team's efforts and capabilities support the holistic product strategy, working closely with production.
  • Partner tightly with central and game-team insights to ensure development in your area is hypothesis driven, supported by a wide range of player signals, and can be effectively validated and measured to inform learning and iteration

Required Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of professional experience, of which 4+ is in a Product Management or Strategy role on a game team 
  • 3+ years experience leading and managing cross-functional teams with excellent teamwork, team leadership, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems using first-principles strategic thinking, generating frameworks to enable rapid and effective decision making
  • Meaningful familiarity with several of the following crafts: Revenue Strategy / Monetization Design, LiveOps / Live Service, Player Growth & Lifecycle Management,  Analytics, and Research, 
  • Experience leading, designing, and shipping metagame systems, monetization content, and distribution mechanisms within the games industry

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a AAA game with global reach through development and launch
  • Experience working on a live service game with significant live operations
