Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is an integral part of the decision-making process at Lyft, embedded within the business to ensure we maximize ROI and drive to the best possible P&L outcomes. Lyft’s FP&A team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Strategic Finance to join our FP&A team. 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, this candidate will work closely with senior executives throughout the organization to provide critical financial information, business metrics, and market insights to enable Lyft to make optimal investment, operational, and management decisions. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing team, driving meaningful impact at a company undergoing exciting and transformational change.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the long-range planning and annual planning processes.
  • Proactively identify and pursue all possible means to improve financial and operational profitability, stability, and risk.
  • Partner with senior executives to develop solutions and execute against all aspects of global finance strategies, initiatives, and key investments.
  • Develop frameworks that enable rigorous and analytical decision-making.
  • Provide analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making support for ad-hoc and special projects.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in either investment banking, management consulting, equity research, or strategic finance.
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing team
  • Proven track record in building financial models and conducting in-depth quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that guide executive-level decision-making.
  • Experience in establishing and tracking KPIs to measure product and financial performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other data query tools is a plus.

Lyft highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $169,000 - $211,250. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. This range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus, or benefits.
