  • Own enterprise content strategy, including content pillars, audience priorities, editorial standards, voice, tone, and storytelling approach.
  • Develop and manage the 12-month content strategy and 90-day execution calendar to ensure content priorities align with business goals, brand strategy, and audience needs.
  • Lead annual content planning with key stakeholders and establish a quarterly review cadence to evaluate priorities, performance, and upcoming needs.
  • Own and evolve the editorial style guide to ensure consistency, clarity, quality, and brand alignment across all content.
Editorial Operations + Coordination

  • Own the editorial calendar, incorporating input from marketing channels, PR, social, reputation, clinical, growth, business development, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead editorial planning meetings and manage the formal intake process for cross-functional content and storytelling requests.
  • Advise teams on content repurposing opportunities across owned, earned, shared, paid, internal, and partner channels.
  • Keep the 90-day execution calendar current and hold teams accountable to timelines, deliverables, and agreed-upon priorities.
Quality + Editorial Review
  • Maintain LifeStance’s editorial voice and content quality standards across channels and audiences.
  • Review content for strategic fit, brand voice, audience clarity, message consistency, and alignment to business objectives.
  • Ensure content is clear, credible, human, and appropriate for the sensitivity of mental health-related topics.
  • Partner with clinical, legal, compliance, and communications stakeholders as needed to ensure content is accurate, responsible, and aligned to organizational standards.
Thought Leadership Strategy

  • Build repeatable thought leadership platforms that support earned media, owned content, sponsored content, speaking opportunities, executive visibility, and clinician storytelling.
  • Create and maintain a pipeline of thought leadership topics, contributors, proof points, and activation opportunities across clinical, operational, executive, and market teams.
  • Ensure thought leadership supports broader goals across brand trust, reputation, referral confidence, clinician pride, recruiting, and category relevance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic content and storytelling partner across marketing, PR, clinical, operations, people/talent, business development, M&A, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate enterprise priorities into audience-relevant messaging, content plans, campaigns, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Facilitate alignment across functions on editorial priorities, timing, channel strategy, audience needs, and intended outcomes.
  • Build processes that improve collaboration, reduce duplicative work, and ensure content is created with a clear purpose, audience, and performance goal.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure content supports patient acquisition, clinician engagement, referral partner credibility, reputation, recruiting, business development, and internal alignment.
Performance + Reporting
  • Own content KPIs, performance reporting, and measurement recommendations across priority channels and content types.
  • Use performance data, audience insights, search behavior, reputation inputs, and stakeholder feedback to inform editorial decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness, audience engagement, discoverability, repurposing, and business contribution.
  • Develop reporting that helps leaders understand how content and thought leadership are supporting awareness, trust, engagement, reputation, and growth priorities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
