Position Overview:

The Central Build Operations team supports new facility builds, startup deployments, operational recoveries, stabilizations, and large-scale performance improvement initiatives across the United States. This role serves as the functional subject matter expert for outbound operations and provides hands-on support to site leadership teams during launches and recovery engagements.


Location: Remote


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional nights and weekends as needed to support business operations and new launches.


Travel Specifics: 80%, Weekly


Competitive Total Rewards:   Competitive salary of $125,000-$135,000 plus bonus, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead startup readiness, go-live support, and stabilization activities for new facility launches, ensuring operational processes, staffing plans, training execution, and performance standards are established to support a successful transition into steady-state operations.
  • Deploy to underperforming operations to assess performance gaps and implement recovery plans, partnering with site leadership to identify root causes, execute corrective actions, and restore operational, service, and productivity performance.
  • Provide warehouse-floor leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to site leadership teams, managers, and supervisors, reinforcing best practices, driving accountability, and developing operational capability.
  • Drive standardization, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives by promoting network-wide operational standards, ensuring adherence to established procedures, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, Learning, Safety, and Project teams to support new builds, operational enhancements, system implementations, and recovery efforts while ensuring alignment across functional stakeholders.
  • Analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify sustainable improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and track progress against key productivity, quality, inventory, and service objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational experience.
  • 7+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce operations experience.
  • 3+ years leading large operational teams.
  • Experience supporting launches, transformations, or operational recoveries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in highly standardized, metrics-driven fulfillment environments.
  • Former leadership experience within large-scale fulfillment networks is highly desirable.
  • Deep expertise in picking, packing, sorting, shipping, flow management, CPT execution, and workforce planning.
  • Travel up to 80%. Candidates should expect extensive domestic travel and extended periods on-site supporting startup deployments, recovery projects, leadership coaching, and operational improvement initiatives. The majority of working time will be spent engaged directly on warehouse floors.
