About Delos Insurance Solutions

Delos is a technology-forward insurance company focused on the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market.  We’re reimagining specialty insurance by leveraging automation and data to underwrite complex risks efficiently.  As we scale into additional states, we are strengthening our compliance infrastructure to ensure operational excellence and continuous regulatory alignment.

Position Overview

Delos Insurance Solutions is seeking a Senior Insurance Reporting Analyst to own and execute critical insurance reporting and reconciliation processes across all Delos programs. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and Compliance and is essential to maintaining accurate, timely, and audit-ready insurance data.

This position requires prior insurance reporting or insurance finance experience and the ability to operate with a high degree of independence. The successful candidate will not only produce reporting outputs, but also proactively identify data issues, improve processes, and help scale reporting infrastructure as the business grows.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Reporting & Data Ownership

  • Own the preparation, review, and delivery of written, earned, and paid bordereaux for carriers, reinsurers, TPAs, and brokers.
  • Validate policy, premium, commission, and fee data across systems prior to submission.
  • Manage reporting calendars, deadlines, and confirmations of delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for reporting accuracy and completeness.

Reconciliations & Financial Integrity

  • Perform regular reconciliations between PAS data, payment platforms (e.g., lockbox, Stripe), bank activity, and accounting records.
  • Investigate discrepancies, determine root causes, and coordinate resolution with Finance and Operations.
  • Maintain clear, well-organized reconciliation support suitable for audit and management review.

Compliance, Regulatory & Audit Support

  • Produce data and reporting to support surplus lines filings, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance needs.
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests with accurate, well-documented support.
  • Ensure reporting processes align with internal controls and compliance expectations.

Process Improvement & Scale

  • Maintain and continuously improve reporting templates, SOPs, and control checklists.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
  • Provide input on reporting architecture and data flows as Delos scales programs and volume.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve upstream data quality and downstream reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance reporting, insurance finance, MGA/carrier operations, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance concepts, including written vs. collected premium, commissions, fees, and bordereaux reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including reconciliations and large data sets.
  • Proven ability to manage recurring deadlines independently and deliver high-quality, error-free work.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and comfort escalating issues when appropriate.

Preferred

  • Experience at an MGA, carrier, TPA, reinsurer, or insurance services firm.
  • Hands-on experience with PAS platforms and premium or cash reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and audit or regulatory reporting processes.
  • Experience improving or scaling reporting processes in a growing organization.

What Success Looks Like

  • Reporting is consistently accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
  • Discrepancies are identified early and resolved efficiently.
  • Finance and Compliance leadership can rely on reporting outputs with minimal oversight.
  • Reporting processes become more scalable, efficient, and resilient over time.

Why Delos

  • Ownership of core insurance reporting in a scaling MGA.
  • Direct partnership with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to shape and improve reporting infrastructure as the company grows.
  • High-trust, high-accountability environment focused on execution and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus equity stock options
  • Flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States
  • Unlimited PTO, including sick leave and company holidays
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (25% paid by employee, 75% covered by Delos including dependents)
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Professional development opportunities and tuition assistance

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
