ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will act as a liaison between Human Resources (HR) and the business.  This role will report to the Director of Business and People Partnerships to support our employees, managers and leaders with their plans for how best to meet the firm’s objectives.  You will support multiple offices, business units, and/or enterprise groups. People are Everything. It's not just a phrase we throw around. It's the guiding force that shapes who we are and what we create. In this role, you will act as an internal consultant, aligning HR practices with business goals while acting as an employee advocate.
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Act as a consultative partner between HR and the business, coaching leaders and managers to take ownership of people leadership responsibilities and guiding them through a variety of situations.
  • Lead and execute key HR processes such as workforce planning, performance calibration, succession planning, and change management. Use HR metrics, analytics, and dashboards to provide insights that drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with HR centers of excellence (e.g., benefits, compensation, talent management) to ensure effective execution of programs, bringing forward business needs and feedback to shape future initiatives.
  • Provide insights on trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies that support organizational goals.
  • Coach leaders and managers in building high-performing teams, fostering morale, increasing engagement, and driving retention—ensuring that leadership practices are owned and executed by those in management roles.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, providing counsel on workforce planning, organizational design and talent deployment.  Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement retention and culture initiatives.
  • Support leadership in identifying, developing and retaining top talent.  Partner with talent management to implement training, succession planning and leadership programs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by developing new processes or enhancing existing ones to support evolving talent and organizational needs.
  • Support the delivery and follow-up of training programs, ensuring training objectives are met.
  • Provide HR policy interpretation and guidance to leaders, coaching them to take ownership of employee development, performance management, and career progression decisions. Support leaders through g employee compensation, promotions, transfers etc.
  • Partner with HR operations and external counsel to guide immigration processes and decisions in collaboration with the business, including visa sponsorships, compliance tracking, and employee guidance throughout relocation and work authorization procedures. 
  • Assist the Employee Relations Manager in managing full-cycle employee relations issues through resolution.
  • Support onboarding efforts for multiple regions or business units.
  • Perform work independently and serve as a high-level specialist who regularly partners with leaders to influence strategic decisions and drive HR initiatives.
  • Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in delivering results, selecting appropriate methods and techniques to develop effective solutions.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues across a variety of situations, requiring the review of multiple factors and adaptation of existing processes.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of HR practices and business operations to anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.
  • Work independently, managing priorities and driving outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Certification in HR is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization—from senior leadership to early-career professionals and interns—adapting approach and style to meet diverse needs and contexts.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience in business, preferably working across multiple offices and business units. Three (3) of these years must be in a Business Partner Role.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws. (want to have positive manager and employee relations)
  • Experience in working effectively in a multi-location, matrixed environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels. Experience working with and coaching employees, managers, and leaders on complex business and functional issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others to assist in mediating conflicts, as well as championing new and existing initiatives. This includes demonstrating the ability to influence senior leadership in driving organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Must possess Professional and Business acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully.
  • Experience within Architecture, Engineering, Interiors, or Consulting Industries preferred. Additionally, familiarity with software development environments or start-up cultures is highly valued, as the role could support several smaller, fast-growing business units that benefit from agile, entrepreneurial approaches.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HR related software tools/systems.
  • Travel required, up to 20%, and as needed.
The salary range for this position is $99,600 to $124.500 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
