The North America Growth Team is responsible for accelerating growth through a hybrid go-to-market model, combining direct business with large-scale dairy farms and growth through Nedap’s existing Partner ecosystem.

The North America Senior Growth Manager is the first dedicated hire on this team, offering a unique opportunity to shape its commercial direction and build a strong foundation for growth.  The role combines strategic business development and direct account development, with an initial focus on direct XL-farm opportunities in the US, particularly in the Northwest region of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The role will work closely with Applications Specialists, Technical Team, and Marketing across all priority opportunities to understand farm needs, build strong value cases, and ensure opportunities can be delivered successfully.

The Senior Growth Manager will also build the market for SmartSight, Nedap’s innovative livestock solution, by developing new customer relationships, validating demand, and converting opportunities into revenue-generating business.

As the Growth team develops, the role’s scope and responsibilities will evolve in line with business priorities, demonstrated strengths, and the team’s future structure.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop direct XL-farm opportunities, starting in the Northwest of the US: Identify, prioritize, and progress direct opportunities with large-scale dairy operations across the United States, with an initial focus on Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Work with team members to identify priority farms, build account plans, map decision-makers, develop compelling value cases, and lead opportunities through the sales process. Use the learning from this region to build a repeatable approach for future expansion.
  • Build the SmartSight business-development pipeline: Identify priority customer segments, use cases, and market opportunities for SmartSight. Develop early customer and ecosystem relationships, validate demand, and create qualified opportunities through the appropriate direct or Partner-led route to market. Manage the relevant local Partner relationships: align on the proposition and account plans, build capability and commitment, coordinate joint opportunities, and ensure clear ownership, handoffs, and quality of delivery to the farm. Convert opportunities into concrete commercial plans and revenue-generating business, while capturing market feedback, commercial learnings, and barriers to execution to strengthen the approach over time.
  • Work as part of the customer team: Partner with Applications Specialists to understand farm needs and value drivers; with the Technical Team to confirm feasibility and implementation requirements; and with Marketing to build targeted awareness and demand.
  • Build scalable commercial ways of working: Establish and refine clear rules of engagement for opportunity ownership, handoffs, and collaboration across Nedap and its partner ecosystem. Build effective local and global ways of working, ensuring local market needs are aligned with global partner strategies. Drive disciplined CRM and data adoption to create reliable visibility of the pipeline, customer opportunities, ownership, and next actions. Use learning from strategic farms, the Northwest region, and SmartSight opportunities to improve the Growth Team model before wider expansion.

Competencies / required skills

  • Strong business-development and complex consultative-sales capability
  • Experience developing strategic accounts and building new market pipelines
  • Commercial judgment to prioritize opportunities, build value cases, and convert opportunities into revenue
  • Experience working with dairy farmers, business partners, dealers, or other dairy industry professionals
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with customer-facing, technical, and marketing teams
  • Disciplined pipeline and CRM management
  • Clear communication, influence, and relationship-building skills with farms and senior stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and comfortable building new ways of working
  • Willingness to travel across the United States

Experience

  • Experience in large-scale dairy, livestock technology, ag-tech, farm equipment, or a related agricultural industry.
  •  8–10 + years of commercial experience in business development, strategic account management, direct sales, Partner/channel management, or complex solution selling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, animal science, technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.

The salary range for this role is $185,000–$200,000 annually, plus variable compensation and a competitive benefits package.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
