We seek a dynamic leader to join the Industry & Solutions marketing team, managing a team of industry marketers across retail, communications, media & entertainment, manufacturing, and energy.  These are critical industries for Databricks, as they represent some of our fastest-growing, highly adopted use cases and a significant driver of pipeline across the company.  

Ideal candidates will have a record of impact managing industry marketing teams in one or more verticals, tech understanding, and expertise guiding messaging, content, event strategy, analyst relationships, and GTM programs for industry. You’ll understand how to successfully target and grow executive engagement with demonstrated success scaling consumption revenue through partners.

Collaboration and team-building are critical to the success of this role.  

The impact you will have:

  • Land the Data Intelligence category and position Databricks as the market share leader.
  • Grow engagement from executives with specific focus on technical decision-makers 
  • Identify and build the marketing strategy to grow pipeline 2x and accelerate consumption 30% - driven by audience-specific solutions you identify and create through your team - blogs, videos, pitches, discovery guides and more.
  • Productivity and CSAT gains for field stakeholders through the approach to sales enablement you build with your team.
  • Create buy-in and build a culture of elite performance - leading by example, coaching, translating corporate priorities, and creating opportunities for your team to shine - where your success is defined by theirs.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience marketing and/or deploying technology solutions within an enterprise software organization with direct relevance to industry verticals
  • 3+ years of experience managing high performing teams in an industry context.
  • Experience as both a subject matter expert and marketer with strength in storytelling, creative, strategy, and execution for technical products.
  • Proven track record in developing the industry marketing vision and strategy for complex B2B products, while successfully translating to tactical execution for a team.
  • Creating and managing content, demos, enablement, market research, competitive analysis, events, and other marketing activities related to industry.
  • Experience with cloud, big data, data analytics, data warehouse, and/or AI/ML technologies, with a proven ability to translate the highly technical to relevant use cases and outcomes preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience presenting to executives and decision-makers at relevant events, executive briefings, and sales meetings - resulting in reference and advocacy.
  • Strong executive maturity, impact/influence, collaboration and communication skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $178,400$273,600 USD

Zone 2 Pay Range

$160,600$246,200 USD

Zone 3 Pay Range

$151,700$232,500 USD

Zone 4 Pay Range

$142,800$218,900 USD
