About the Role
Campfire is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to build and own our design infrastructure.
You will evolve our visual identity, create scalable systems, and define how we show up across every touchpoint from marketing and product to sales and events. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to architect a brand in a fast-growing B2B company.

We operate in a sophisticated, technical accounting and fintech space, and we are looking for a designer who can use modern tools, including AI-powered illustration, to make complex concepts feel clear, compelling, and human.
What You Will Do

  • Own and evolve our brand identity

  • Define and maintain our brand guidelines and visual identity system

  • Evolve our existing brand as the company grows and our story matures

  • Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints from marketing, product, sales, and events

Build scalable design infrastructure

  • Build a library of templated design assets that reduce production time while maintaining quality

  • Establish design standards and best practices that empower the broader team

  • Develop illustration systems, including AI-assisted workflows where appropriate, that scale across campaigns and channels

Design for impact across channels

  • Create campaign graphics and visuals in partnership with the marketing team

  • Design motion graphics for product demos, social content, and marketing campaigns

  • Support product marketing with compelling visual storytelling for feature launches, case studies, and educational content

  • Translate complex financial and accounting workflows into strong, clear visual narratives

Collaborate cross-functionally
Partner with marketing, product, and GTM teams to understand needs and deliver high-impact design
Balance creative excellence with speed and scalability
Use feedback and performance data to continuously refine our visual approach
Who You Are
Must-haves

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity work, design systems, and scalable templates

  • Expert-level proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience with motion design for digital content including product demos, social videos, and marketing campaigns

  • Experience incorporating AI-powered illustration or generative tools into your workflow in a thoughtful, production-ready way

  • Systems thinker who builds frameworks that scale, not just beautiful one-offs

  • Collaborative designer who understands how to balance creative vision with business needs

  • Self-starter comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or high-growth startup

  • Background designing for technical or enterprise products

  • Familiarity with web design and partnering closely with engineering teams

  • Experience building design systems from the ground up or evolving existing ones

  • Understanding of brand positioning and how visual identity supports business strategy

  • Familiarity with Notion project management

Success Metrics
You'll be measured on:

  • Evolution and documentation of comprehensive brand guidelines and design system

  • Creation of a scalable template library that measurably reduces design production time

  • Consistent, high-quality visual output across all marketing campaigns and channels

  • Cross-functional satisfaction with design support and turnaround times

  • Quality and impact of motion design assets (engagement, shareability, sales enablement value)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
